William Johnson is a writer, media entrepreneur, and advisor based in Vancouver. He is currently the VP of Strategy & Operations at Overstory Media Group, where he helps lead a growing portfolio of local news and niche publications. In 2018, William founded Vancouver Tech Journal and grew it from a one-person newsletter into the city’s largest tech publication.
For more than a decade, William has been telling stories about startups, entrepreneurs, and digital culture, with bylines in The Globe & Mail, Maclean’s, Billboard, and The Georgia Straight. Alongside his work in tech and media, he profiles chefs and restaurants in Vancouver, combining his love of storytelling with a passion for food and drink culture.
