Tony Colley is a passionate advocate for sustainability and social justice, and the founder of Be One to Give, an innovative on-demand B2B logistics platform for food retailers like grocery stores, hotels, universities, and caterers.
Motivated by personal experience with food insecurity, Tony identified a way to create a more circular and sustainable solution for surplus food recovery. By utilizing data-driven technology and streamlined logistics, his company ensures surplus food is redistributed to food-insecure communities within two hours of receipt.
Tony’s goal is to eliminate avoidable food waste from retailers daily operations, by diverting this healthy and nutritious food to the roughly 9 million Canadians currently facing food insecurity. His net-zero circular approach simultaneously addresses both critical issues of avoidable food waste and food insecurity, while promoting sustainable business practices across the food supply chain having positive social and environmental benefits.
